Overview

This is a new replacement starter for early model Big Dogs that are Rubber Mount or FXR design (fitment below). Some of the earlier models will not accommodate a larger High Torque starter due to limited space, so the smaller units have to be used. The original stock starter was a 1.4kw unit. These units are upgraded to 1.6kw.

2001 Mastiff starter

Easy to install, cranks over so much nice than my old one. Has a nice chrome finish on it . Will see how it holds up, but so far I'm impressed. Thanks again for the quick replies with my questions also.
Starter for pro sport

Ordered to put on 2000 ProSport. Had already put used 2001 Road King starter on bike to get it running. Put the starter on my 01 Road King after new OEM starter that cost $50.00 more was bad out of the box and have ordered a 2nd one to put on 2000 Big Dog when I install new final drive belt as it's 20 years old and it will be changed before we put next trip on it.
